Creating a kitchen garden gives children a 'hands on' approach to growing health food, and did you know that schools are now eligible for grants to help with such projects? Growing vegetables not only teaches children about food but about science and nature, and fits within the school teaching curriculum too.
At Living Leaves we can help your school. We can supply and install a complete kitchen garden which contains everything the school needs to grow a range of vegetables, salads and fruit.
Our complete gardens include raised beds to grow in, soil to plant in, and of course the vegetable plants and seeds to grow. There's specially designed rulers to make planting easier and our superb planting plans which show you exactly where, when and how far apart to plant. All the vegetables and salads in our kits are ready for harvest during term time so the children get to see the fruits of their labour. And of course lots of advice from us.
Living Leaves kitchen gardens are ideal for almost all parts of the school, can be placed on existing lawns or even hard surfaces such as concrete. Our raised beds come in a range of sizes and heights plus there's our exclusive table beds for gardening at waist height, so we can provide you with the right sizes garden to suit your schools needs and demands.
